Off the needles: Simple Shrug

I made this shrug for my daughter (who is modelling it). We saw it made up in Weaver's Webb, a yarn shop in New Bern, NC. Amy liked the pattern, but not any of the yarns available in the shop. The pattern is from Plymouth Yarn Company using their Baby Alpaca Grande yarn. She didn't care for any of the colors of this yarn either. We did find a comparable weight of yarn in a color that she did like from Elann.com's Peruvian Highland Bulky yarn in Coffee Bean Brown colorway.
The pattern knits up super fast as it is just a big rectangle of ribbing that is folded in half.
Close-up showing wooden shawl pin that Amy bought at Weaver's Webb. The shrug looks good left unpinned as well.
